About the Role
At RNN we put a premium on teamwork as well as personal integrity and accountability. The TOC Engineer is responsible for supporting the entire company’s broadcast technical operations in a HUB environment. Under the direction of Management, configure and deploy broadcast network infrastructures, maintain systems, remove equipment and wiring, and update documentation. Provide direct technical support with local market engineers as necessary. Thinking critically and creatively for both troubleshooting and problem resolution in a frequently changing television operation is a must. The position requires excellent professional demeanor and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask as well as prioritize daily assignments.
COMPENSATION: 50,000 to 65,000 per year
Requirements
Familiarity with file based media work flows including Broadcast ingest/encoding, and broadcast automation systems would be a plus.
Strong communication and multitasking skills with professional attitude that can effectively support RNN broadcast hub operations
Proficiency in operating and evaluating technical equipment such as signal routers, waveform monitors, vector scopes and stream analyzer equipment
You are motivated to learn new systems and equipment
A demonstrated ability to stay calm, think clearly, act strategically, and prioritize tasks during emergencies
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed procedures
A demonstrated history of being punctual and reliable in adhering to a set work schedule
Experience
Broadcast experience, technical and/or operational preferred
2 Years relevant field or equivalent work experience
Proven experience in handling and troubleshooting broadcast technology systems
