About the Role

NewsRadio 930 WBEN-Buffalo is looking for the next great multimedia journalist to join the WBEN and Audacy Buffalo news team as a full-time news anchor/reporter/digital producer. If you’re a compelling storyteller on air, online and in social media, have a sense for where the next breaking story might originate, and understand that there is a critical difference between news reporting and simple dictation, WBEN would love to hear from you.

Journalistic objectivity, strong command of social and digital media, the flexibility to cover breaking news whenever it happens and, most importantly, to be a great teammate and collaborator, working with the entire WBEN team of hosts, anchors, reporters, and producers for the benefit of the Buffalo listeners. Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $33,000.00/Yr.-$35,000.00/Yr..

Requirements

  • High energy, passionate approach needed

  • Journalistic writing skills a must

  • Simple digital video and editing skills

  • Anchoring on-air newscasts

  • Understand that accurate reporting and speed to market is critical

  • Must be mobile to cover news on the scene and in the field

Experience

2 or more years experience covering breaking news, and original news stories for media using audio and digital assets.
