FCC Cracks Down on 5 Pirates Stations in NY

The FCC’s crackdown on illegal pirate radio operations continues. Using the new enforcement provisions found in the PIRATE Act, the Commission issued complaints against five illegal radio stations operating in the New York City Area. The Commission continued its new enforcement policy focusing on the property owners where the illegal station operates. Here are the notices:

  • Notice of Illegal Pirate Radio Broadcasting issued for unlicensed FM broadcast station operating on frequency 105.7 MHz in Bronx, New York
  • Notice of Illegal Pirate Radio Broadcasting issued for an unlicensed FM broadcast station operating on frequency 90.9 MHz in Cambria Heights, New York
  • Notice of Illegal Pirate Radio Broadcasting issued for an unlicensed FM broadcast station operating on frequency 87.9 MHz in Brooklyn, NY
  • Notice of Illegal Pirate Radio Broadcasting issued for an unlicensed FM broadcast station operating on frequency 95.3 MHz in New York, NY
  • Notice of Illegal Pirate Radio Broadcasting issued for an unlicensed FM broadcast station operating on frequency 104.5 MHz in Mount Vernon, NY
