NYSBA Chairperson Karen Carey, Market Manager and Chief Revenue Officer of Townsquare Media in Utica, opened the luncheon with a warm greeting to the inductees and all attendees. Karen recognized the many sacrifices made by broadcasters during COVID 19 and noted that it was good to be back.
Emcee Ed Levine CEO of Galaxy Media partners did an outstanding job introducing each inductee and presenting them with their awards.
NYSBA did not have an induction ceremony in 2020, so we inducted both the Class of 2020 and 2021 at the event. The Rainbow Room was the perfect venue to honor the best in our profession. While the inductees had diverse professional backgrounds, they all shared a common thread – commitment to their communities. Connecting to the community ensures that local broadcasting will remain as the most important and influential medium in this hyper competitive world. In all it was great to finally see everyone in person.
