Lowest Unit Rate Period for the General Election Began September 4th

Remember the Lowest Unit Rate Period for the General Election began September 4th.  The lowest unit rate rules apply to all candidates for federal office.  Stations do not have to accept political advertisements for state and local offices.  However, if you accept an advertisement from a state or local political candidate, then the lowest unit rate rules will apply to all state and local candidates running for that office.

Once again we remind you to place any information regarding political advertisements in your station’s political file within one business day of receiving a full-fledged offer.
