Rep. Chris Jacobs Co-Sponsors Local Radio Freedom Act

As we reported last week, former NY State Senator, NY Secretary of State and Erie County Clerk Chris Jacob (R), won the special election for the 27th District in New York.  Rep. Jacobs will replace former Congressman Chris Collins.

Right from the start Rep. Jacobs distinguished himself as a strong supporter of local radio.  One of his first acts was to endorse the Local Radio Freedom Act (House Con. Res. 20).  This resolution makes it clear that there should be no performance fees imposed on a radio station’s over the air broadcasts.

At this point the Local Radio Freedom Act has 216 co-sponsors nationwide. The goal is to get 218, which will guarantee a lock on this issue.

We are working to get more co-sponsors.  In the meantime –THANK YOU CONGRESSMAN JACOBS.
