Next Gen TV to Yield Significant Growth in Revenues over Next Decade – Advertising to Remain Key

A recent analysis by BIA paints a bright picture for Next Gen TV.  At a recent SMPT meeting BIA Advisory Services reported the results of its recent analysis.    BIA noted that local TV groups stand to increase revenue growth by 50% in the next ten years from the roll out of Next Gen TV.  Growth will come due to new forms of broadband, wireless, point to multi-point and local market distribution.  BIA noted, however that traditional linear advertising and retransmission consent will remain as the key economic driver for the next ten years.
