FCC to Auction FM Frequencies in April

The FCC’s Office of Economics and Analytics (OEA), in conjunction with the Media Bureau (MB), announced an auction of certain FM broadcast construction permits and seeks comment on the procedures to be used for this auction.  This auction is scheduled to commence on April 28, 2020, and is designated as Auction 106.   The auction will offer 130 construction permits in the FM broadcast service.  The construction permits to be auctioned are for 130 FM allotments, including 34 construction permits that were offered but not sold or were defaulted upon in prior auctions.

The auctions will involve several New York locations including: Keeseville, Livingston Manor, Sagaponack, Shelter Island, Narrowsburg and Westfield. Specific information on all locations can be found in Appendix to the proposal.
