The next nationwide EAS test will be held on August 7, 2019 at 2:20 p.m. eastern. This EAS test will reach participants solely through the traditional over-the-air “daisy chain” and not via IPAWS. The test puts broadcasters in the spotlight.
All EAS Participants must file the ETRS Form One by July 3, 2019. You can file it on the FCC portal at https://www.fcc.gov/general/eas-test-reporting-system
Each EAS Participant should file a separate copy of Form One for each of its EAS decoders, EAS encoders, or units combining such decoder and encoder functions. For example, if an individual is filing for a broadcaster that uses two units combining decoder and encoder functions, that individual should file two copies of Form One.
ETRS Form Two, which records the “day of test” information, must be filed on August 7, 2019.
Post test data will be recorded on ETRS Form Three, which must be filed on or before September 23, 2019.
