According to Borrrell’s 2019 Benchmarking Local Media’s Digital Revenues, local digital media sales continues to expand. Since 2012, when the social media giant Facebook began offering simple do-it-yourself ad buying, it has “blossomed into the most popular form of local marketing” with 24 consecutive quarters of 30% growth or more.
