FCC Continues Its Efforts Against Pirates

The FCC continues its enforcement efforts against illegal FM radio operations in the New York City metropolitan area.  We want to send a special “Thank You” to the FCC’s New York Field Office for tracking these “pirate” operations.   We hope the PIRATE Act will pass the Senate and give the FCC more enforcement tools to eradicate these illegal operations.

Bronx – 94.5 FM

Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission’s) Enforcement Bureau (Bureau) investigated an unlicensed FM station operating on the frequency 94.5 MHz in Bronx, New York. The Agents confirmed by direction finding techniques that radio signals on frequency 94.5 MHz were emanating from a multi-family dwelling at 1939 Grand Concourse in Bronx.

Bronx – 89.3 FM

Agents from the New York Office of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission’s) Enforcement Bureau (Bureau) investigated an unlicensed FM station operating on the frequency 89.3 MHz in Bronx, New York. The Agents confirmed by direction finding techniques that radio signals on the frequency 89.3 MHz were emanating from a multi-family dwelling at 2450 Creston Avenue in Bronx, New York

Brooklyn – 90.9 FM

Agents from the New York Office of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s or Commission’s) Enforcement Bureau (Bureau) investigated a complaint of an unlicensed FM station operating on the frequency 90.9 MHz in Brooklyn, New York. The Agents confirmed by direction finding techniques that radio signals on the frequency 90.9 MHz were emanating from a multi-family dwelling on Lenox Road, Brooklyn, New York.
