Last week Governor Cuomo signed legislation that moved the primary for state officials from September 11, 2018 to September 13, 2018. The move was prompted by two considerations: 1) September 11th is Rosh Hashanah and 2) voting on the 9/11 anniversary caused some concern. Of course moving the election back a few days will also affect the start of the Lowest Unit Rate Period. The new Election Schedule for New York will be as follows:
