NYSBA Board of Directors Completes a Successful Trip to Washington DC

The Board of Directors just finished a marathon of meetings in Washington DC, meeting with 23 members of the New York State Congressional delegation over a two-day period. It was a highly successful visit to DC. We were able to urge the New York Congressional delegation to:

1. Support our efforts to eliminate illegal pirate radio stations;
2. Oppose the imposition of a performance tax on radio stations;
3. Maintain the current retransmission consent process and
4. Oppose limiting the deductibility of advertising.
