NY Delegation Weighs in on TV Spectrum

Senator Schumer and members of the New York Congressional delegation expressed their concerns about the need to protect TV station coverage areas recently in separate letters.

Because the FCC’s spectrum reclamation proposal will create spectrum shortages along the Canadian border, Senator Schumer asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to explore a new spectrum agreement with Canada. This is an important letter.

Six members of the NY Congressional delegation wrote to the Super Committee expressing the need to protect the coverage areas of local television stations. Our thanks to Senator Schumer as well as Congresswomen Carolyn Maloney, Congressman Bill Owens, Congressman Charles Rangel, Congressman Joe Crowley, Congressman Jerry Nadler and Congressman Paul Tonko for their efforts.
