New Community FM WGXC 90.7 Acra

The new community station south of Albany will hold a "barn-raising" this fall as it gets closer to sign-on. WGXC (90.7 Acra) will be the first full-power signal to host one of the events with Prometheus Radio Project, which has held similar barn-raisings to get dozens of low-power FM signals on the air. WGXC's event will take place September 24-26, including not only construction sessions for the station but also panel discussions about community media. (NorthEast Radio Watch)
